Maryanne Pelic

Primary Practice Areas

Maryanne feels very at home in the court room, which is why, as a partner with Bunger & Robertson, she has specialized primarily in civil litigation. However, Maryanne understands that for clients, appearing in front of a judge or jury can be a difficult experience – one she hopes to guide them through as painlessly as possible. Maryanne joined the firm in January 2005 with an expansive knowledge of local government law – she had spent 18 years serving the Bloomington community as a Monroe County deputy prosecuting attorney.

As a criminal defense attorney, Maryanne offers her clients compassion and respect, but she also brings a wide of berth of experience that encompasses everything from litigating basic misdemeanor trials to complex felony cases. Maryanne’s practice also includes a wide variety of civil litigation matters including insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, landlord/tenant matters, and expungement of criminal records.

Maryanne is passionate about giving back to the Bloomington community while simultaneously serving the needs of fellow professional women. As such, she currently serves on the board of My Sisters Closet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing appropriate work attire for low-income or at-risk women who are actively seeking employment, as well as job skills training. Maryanne also serves as an advocate for children in our community by representing the interests of Court Appointed Special Advocates.
