Margaret M. Frisbie

Margaret Frisbie, known as Peggy, has retired from practicing law after 27 years with Bunger & Robertson.  Peggy previously was an attorney for six years with the estate planning group of the international law firm, Sidley Austin, in Chicago, and was certified as an Indiana Trust and Estates Specialist by the Indiana Trust and Estates Specialty Board under rules of the Indiana State Bar Association.

Peggy was dedicated to helping individuals plan their estates and carry out their intentions by providing wills, trusts and related documents, estate and gift tax counsel, and advice regarding inheritance of retirement benefits, elder law issues, business succession, and charitable giving. She also acted as legal counsel to individuals and institutions involved in the settlement of estates and trusts after death.  She had a special passion for charitable organizations and for planning for charitable giving, and shared her knowledge of the unique set of laws and regulations affecting charities in providing counsel to individuals and organizations.

Peggy plans to remain in the Bloomington community in her retirement and to continue to be engaged in the charitable organizations which support those in need and which work to enrich the lives of our residents.

If you have been one of Peggy’s clients, or otherwise planned to obtain Peggy’s legal services, Bunger & Robertson attorneys Kathryn (Kate) DeWeese and Jessica Merkel can help you.  As experienced attorneys in estate planning and trust and estate settlement law, they bring the same compassion and empathy, coupled with knowledge of this area of law, as Peggy did in her service to clients.  You can contact Jessica and Kathryn directly for your legal needs. They would be happy to assist you.
